In this edition of Ease India Travel’s Bhutan tours, you’ll be handed a Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc cruiser motorbike. Take part in this one week adventure in the Land of Happiness with us and explore the vast mountains, the royal monasteries and so much more!

For India/Bangladesh/Maldives Nationals

The Plan

Day 01

Arrival at Phuentsholing. Transfer to Thimphu. Travel Time – 6.5 - 7 hours.
NOTE: This is where the bike will be handed to you/picked up again after the trip. Check into hotel. Relax.
Approximate kms covered – 200

Day 02

Local sightseeing after breakfast. Today you will ride in Thimphu city, the beautiful capital of Bhutan. We will cover all the sights there are to see. You will be accompanied by our English speaking guide.
Approximate kms covered – 30-40

Day 03

After an early breakfast, we take you on a mild hike to a monastery near Thimphu followed by a riverside picnic lunch.
Afternoon, explore more of Thimphu. Go to Simply Bhutan.
Evening free to go to Karaoke bar etc.
Approximate kms covered – 50-60

Day 04

Check out of hotel after early breakfast & leave for Punakha district.
Undertake all sightseeing.
Evening free for rest after a hectic day. OR you can also explore villages near Punakha.
Approximate kms covered – 90

Day 05

Early breakfast & leave for Paro followed by local sightseeing at Paro.
If you wish to ride up to Chele-La (Bhutan’s highest motorable pass), that’s possible too.

Day 06

Early breakfast and begin climb to Tiger’s Nest/Taktsang. Climb will take about 2.5 - 3 hours.
Evening free for shopping/exploration of Paro town.
Approximate kms covered – 40

Day 07

Departure from Paro after breakfast. Ride down to border town and deposit vehicle with our guide.
Approximate kms covered – 200

The Tariff

Cost for this trip is INR 70,000/- per person, with a minimum group size of 4 people. Rs. 5000/- per person security deposit is required for each bike.

  1. Tickets to and from bordertown of Bhutan
  2. Fuel for the bikes
  3. Beverages, snacks etc.
  4. Shopping, laundry expenses of a personal nature etc.
  5. Entry fees to monuments, monasteries etc.
  6. Tips** to guide, driver, mechanic etc.
*The bike will be handed over to you in Phuentsholing upon completion of immigration formalities, and is yours for the duration of the trip. You are expected to return the bike back at Phuentsholing on the last day. **It is expected that the guide, driver and mechanic will receive a tip from the guest at the end of their trip based purely on the services offered and the guests’ satisfaction.

Fun Fact!

While you traverse from one part of Thimphu to the other, you will also cross the only traffic island in the country!

The Plan

Day 01

Arrival at Paro International Airport. Transfer to Thimphu.
Check into hotel. Set out for sightseeing.
Today you will ride in Thimphu city, the beautiful capital of Bhutan. We will cover all the sights there are to see. You will be accompanied by our English speaking guide.
NOTE: Bike will be handed to you/picked up again after the trip from the airport.

Day 02

More local sightseeing after breakfast. You can also take the bike and explore the areas around Thimphu.

Day 03

Careful!

Traffic rules in Bhutan are very tough and you are expected to stop before Zebra crossings to allow pedestrians to pass.

You will also notice that overtaking (especially from the left) is severely frowned upon and may attract a fine/penalty!
